Customer Service Representatives:

Customer service representatives are the first persons a potential customer sees when entering any of our offices.

They are required to have pleasant personalities, be confident and able to interact with customers, have excellent problem solving and computer skills and are able to multi task and work well under pressure.

Customer service representatives receive four weeks of insurance training to prepare them for effective job performance. They also receive additional on-the-job training.

Requirement:

  • Excellent communication and organization skills
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize
  • Effective team player
  • At least 1 year prior customer service experience
  • Process-focused with ability to offer improvement ideas
  • Demonstrated experience in managing face-to-face customer interactions
  • Keyboard proficiency and PC knowledge
  • High school diploma or equivalent

Underwriter:

Underwriters review customer’s policies from agents and customer service reps. In order to determine if the risk will be accepted. They process a significant volume of transactions and occasionally call agents and policyholders to verify and obtain missing information.

A successful underwriter is self-motivated and results-oriented; possesses strong math, oral and written communication skills; and has proven ability in problem solving and troubleshooting.

Underwriters receive six weeks of training.

Requirements

  • One year of customer service experience
  • Demonstrated proficiency with computers/software
  • Ability to perform multiple tasks in a complex, detail-oriented environment
  • High school diploma or equivalent

Claims Processor:

As a claims processor within the company, you will be responsible for investigating, evaluating and recommending settlement for claims, once you complete formal training as a trainee.

Requirements

Relevant work experience includes, but is not limited to, one of the following:

  • Claims/property damage
  • Auto repair/body shop experience
  • A position requiring critical thinking, problem solving, planning/organizing activities, serving customers, negotiating, effective written and verbal communication, and embracing new challenges
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, which may include evenings and weekends
  • High school diploma or equivalent

Insurance Sales Agent:

As an agent, you will be required to sell various types of insurance policies to businesses and individuals on behalf of the company, including automobile, fire, property insurance or specialized policies such as marine or bonds.

Additionally you are expected to:

  • Calculate premiums and establish payment method
  • Call on policyholders to deliver and explain policy, to analyze insurance programs and suggest modifications, or to change beneficiaries.
  • Confer with clients to obtain and provide information when claims are made on a policy.

Requirements

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Self-motivated and driven
  • Licensed to sell Insurance in Guyana (the Company offers assistance for persons who are not already licensed)
  • High School diploma or equivalent
